Unantiapeted soil conditlons are commonly encountered on <br />conshuction sites and cannot be fully andapated by merely taking soil sam��es in test bo�ings. <br />Subsurface condidons can also very belween exploration locations. Such unexpected conditiona <br />frequently require making additional expenditures to attain a properly constructed project. It is <br />recommended that the ovmer consider providing a contingency fund to accommodate such <br />potenbat exVa costs and risks. This is a stendard recommendaGon for all projects. <br />This report has been prepared for the exdusive use af Community Transit, Fisher 8 Sons, Inc. and <br />their representaUves for specific apptication to this project and site. Our recommendations and <br />conclusions are based on observed site materials, and selective laboratory testing and <br />engineering analyses. Our conclusions and recommendations are professional opinions derived <br />in accordance with current standards of practice within the scope of our services and within <br />budget and dme constraints. No warranty is expressed or implied. The scope of our services <br />does not inGude services related to construcHon safety precautlons, and our recommendatlons <br />are not intended to direct the contractors methods, techniques, sequences, or procedures, ex�pt <br />as specificaily described in our report for consideration in design. We recommend induding thfs <br />report, in its entirety, in the project conVad documents so the conVador may be aware of our <br />findings. <br />ADDITIONAL SERVICES <br />Geotech Consultants, Inc. should be retained to provide geotechnical consultatlon, testing, and <br />observation services during construction. This is to confirtn that subsurtace conditions are <br />consistent with those indicated by our exploratlon, to evaluate whether earthwork and foundation <br />construction activities comply with the generet intent of the recommendatlons presented in this <br />report, and to provide suggesdons for design chanpes in the event subsurtace condi8ons differ <br />from those anticipated prior to the start of construction. However, our work would not indude the <br />supervision or dire�Kion of the adual work of the conVactor and its employees or agents.
