The City's Noise Comrol <br />Ordinance ezempa construccion noise, except becwoen the h�urs of ten p.m. and uven a.m. on <br />wcekdays and siz p.m. and eight a.m. on Saturdays, Sundays and state recognized holidays if the <br />receiving property is zoned residential. <br />During constcuction erosion control and dust control measures must be taken as required by <br />Engineering and Public Services. <br />Few irri[ana wouid be generated after constnu[ion. <br />Conclusioo: No significant adverse impacts from noise, smoke, dust, odor, glare, visual blight <br />or other undesirable impacts are anticipated as a result of the proposal. The contractot must <br />comply with the Ciry's Noise Control Ordinance. <br />9. Consittency wit6 the goals and policia of the Everett General Plan [or t6e arca and land <br />use designaHon in w6ich the property is located. <br />Findings: The site is designatcd 5.1 Heavy Industrial on the Everett General Plan. Areas <br />which werc designated Heavy Manufacturing or Heavy Industrial were those areas where heavy <br />manufacturing or industrial uses were established and expecced to continue, including the Boeing <br />aircraft assembly plant, and Burlington Northern Railroad Delta Yard. The industrial land use <br />policies include: <br />13.6 All industrial developments should be designed and developed to promote <br />easy access for employces using public transit, and the physically disabled. <br />1.3.7 All industrial developments should be operated so as tu minimize impacts on <br />surrounding land uses, especially less intensive residential land uses. <br />13.8 Limit the non-industrial use of industrial lands to uses which are of a type, <br />size and number so as to be complementary to industrial activities, and which do no[ <br />deplete the supply of industrial land, and do not create potential land use conflicts <br />with indus[rial activities. <br />The proposed project involves locating Communiry Transit's administrative offices adjacent to <br />their existing bus maintenance and opera[ion facili[y. The proposal would be designed to <br />promote public transit use (see Item I l below). The proposal would not result in impacts on <br />surrounding land uses. 'Che proposal would be complementary to the existing faciliry which is a <br />pertnitted use in the M-2, Heavy Manufacturing Zone. <br />Conclusions: The proposal is consistent with the Everett Comprehensive Plan. <br />10.
