Foundation Work Lower dirt in crawl space to provide <br />at least 18" clearance between the earth and the bottoms <br />of the floor joists above. Re-install the plastic <br />ground cover and hanq heat duct work from the flooc <br />framing above where support is needed following dirt <br />removal. <br />Dig dirt out from around hot water tank as neceasary to <br />keep dirt from sliding down and making contact. Pour <br />3-1/2" thick concrete pad (3' x 3') under tnnk and <br />slightly elevate tank abone new pad to qine some <br />moiature aeparation between new pad and metal tank. <br />Re-install plastic qround cover. <br />Level up house to a"reasonable level". The kitchen <br />floor is slopinq to the back badly and needs to be <br />either raised or shimmed up to level from the top, prior <br />to installation of new underlayment. Level up the <br />kitchen cabineta as necessary if the kitchen floor is <br />raised. Other house areas to be either raiaed or <br />lowered as necessary. Repost all rotted and bug eaten <br />support posts throughout the entire foundatlon. Make <br />sure moiature separation is provided between all posts <br />and conczete piers. Clear dirt away from wood poats at <br />base, giving good wood to earth clearance. Remove all <br />skirting around the entire house, front porch, and wood <br />skirting only under rear deck at the back door. Reskirt <br />with new 2" framinq for solid backing between poets and <br />cover with 5/8" T111 exterior plywood from bottom of <br />wood hotizontal sidinq down to within 12" of the <br />exterior qrade. Install a galnanized metal "Z" atrip <br />under the T111 and then over 1/4" cement asbestos board <br />runninq down into the dirt below. Add moldinqs as <br />necessary where the Tlll meets the wood sidinq above to <br />prevent water from enterinq the foundation. Rebuild <br />foundation acceea door at the same location with 5/8" <br />T111 on hinqea. All new foundation work shall be <br />petformed in cnmpliance with the requirements of the <br />Oniform Building Code, 1982 edition. <br />� / SC'A — <br />2. Make concrete landing at porch and <br />rebuild steps with treated lumber materials. New <br />landing to be width of steps and extend at least 3' 0" <br />beyond bottom tread nc�se of steps. <br />install a heavy-duty custom-built black wrought iron <br />railing up the south side of the new stepa and fasten <br />secure to the post at the top and into the concrete at <br />the bottom. <br />Remove the garage walk-in door and replace with new <br />exterior prehung solid core slab door with keyed <br />lockset. Owner to paint door. <br />New stairs and railing work to comply with the <br />requicements of the Uniform Building Code, 1982 edition. <br />$ � 1� — <br />
