KV <br />t- <br />September 16, 1981 <br />Chris Preboski, of 1402 trucker, said he was not in favor of the parking <br />lot and would not object to cars parking on the street in front of his <br />home. <br />Gerald painter, of 1521 Wetmore, said ,it was his understanding that the <br />parking lot was only to be temporary and now, based on the testimony, <br />it does not appear there is a need that it be a permanent solution, and <br />recommended denying the permit. <br />Ron Cameron said if the permit were denied there would be- an acute <br />congestion on the street, especially during shift changes. <br />President Baker asked if anyone else wished to speak and no one replied. <br />Moved by Councilman Gipson, seconded by Councilman Michelson, to close <br />the public hearing. <br />Roll was called with all Councilmen voting yes. <br />Motion Carried <br />:d by Councilman Aldcroft, seconded by Councilman Michelson, to concur <br />the recommendation of the Hearing Examiner and grant Special Property <br />►' Per, lit to General hospital subject to the findings, conclusions and <br />i oramendation of the Examiner on file in the City Clerk's Office and <br />request that the hospital come back between now and the January T, 1982 <br />hearing date with some facts and figures to back up the need for the <br />additional parking area. <br />Councilman Overstreet pointed out it had been clearly shown that since sewer <br />construction is completed there is no parking shortage and urged that the <br />motion be defeated. <br />Roll was called with all Councilmen voting yes, except Councilmen Gipson, j <br />Overstreet and Baker, who voted no. <br />!lotion Carried <br />i <br />0 <br />an motion the meeting adjourned at 11:55 p.m. <br />
