KV t- September 16, 1981 Chris Preboski, of 1402 trucker, said he was not in favor of the parking lot and would not object to cars parking on the street in front of his home. Gerald painter, of 1521 Wetmore, said ,it was his understanding that the parking lot was only to be temporary and now, based on the testimony, it does not appear there is a need that it be a permanent solution, and recommended denying the permit. Ron Cameron said if the permit were denied there would be- an acute congestion on the street, especially during shift changes. President Baker asked if anyone else wished to speak and no one replied. Moved by Councilman Gipson, seconded by Councilman Michelson, to close the public hearing. Roll was called with all Councilmen voting yes. Motion Carried :d by Councilman Aldcroft, seconded by Councilman Michelson, to concur the recommendation of the Hearing Examiner and grant Special Property ►' Per, lit to General hospital subject to the findings, conclusions and i oramendation of the Examiner on file in the City Clerk's Office and request that the hospital come back between now and the January T, 1982 hearing date with some facts and figures to back up the need for the additional parking area. Councilman Overstreet pointed out it had been clearly shown that since sewer construction is completed there is no parking shortage and urged that the motion be defeated.
