January 25,2005 <br />To Whom It May Concern: <br />0 W <br />JAl121F)205 <br />CITY OF EVERE"r" �' <br />Planning Dept. <br />I would like to go on record against the rezoning of the 1300 block of Rockefeller and <br />Oakes, which would allow Providence Hospital to tear down the historical homes in the <br />Donovan District. I know the hospital owns a large property on Broadway not far from <br />their existing site. Why aren't they being encouraged to take their expansion down there? <br />Traffic access would be much better on Broadway. People would not have to relocate <br />from the targeted homes and the neighborhood could retain its character. <br />I've lived in a Donovan home all my life and as a child it was always a safe <br />neighborhood for my brother and I to play. i can't imagine what will happen to our quiet <br />little neighborhood if the hospital is allowed to follow through with their plan.
