Overall, the most disappointing aspect of the PEMC's expansion is the lack of
respect and sensitivity and the arrogance shown by those who represent PEMC.
This has been clearly demonstrated by the lack of notification of the near
neighbors of the PEMC, the attempt to "sell" the plan at the community meeting
without addressing the issues and the threat of abandonment of the Colby site.
Additionally, the tone of the application and of the PEMC in general is that the
rezone request is that of a formality only and approval is not only inevitable, but
guaranteed.
The PEMC in our opinion has not taken an honest look at the alternatives — they
have developed the plan that they want to implement without taking into account
the quality of life of the residents in the area. We ask that the planning
commission not approve the rezone request.
Thank you,
Yft
l
Andrea & Patrick Cullen
1334 Lombard Av.
Everett, WA 98201
