February 3, 2005
Dear Planning and Community Development:
CITY OF E-,,
PlaPni!Ffi`r
 eft.
I am a resident of the 1400 block of Oakes Ave. and am very concerned about the
Providence Health System's plan to expand into the Donovan District.
I recently purchased a home in this area because of the character and charm of the
neighborhood. Since moving in last February, my block has seen three new young
professional families move here. This is an area very attractive to young people because
of its character and affordability.
W0 need to make a decision about the integrity of the North End. I feel very strongly that
the Hospital's expansive will take away from its character. Is the North End a business
area, or a residential area that will attractive upstarts to our city that can contribute to its
growth?
The north Broadway area is in such need of change and positive growth. A hospital
expansion in that area can change all of that to the better. I understand that the Hospital
needs to grow, but other options need to be fully explored.
Please take the time to look at the future of Everett and its growth in the North End. The
Donavan Homes have character and charm and hold the history of Everett that the city
can build on to attract people as long time residents.
Sincerely,
%,, 4kf
Abbi Little
