5
EXHIBIT A-3
CITY OF EVERETT
SEWER SYSTEM REPLACEMENT "H"
WORK ORDER#UP 3206
SCOPE OF WORK
General Project Description:
Engineering services shall be performed for the planning, design, and limited construction
support services for the replacement of the existing combined sanitary sewer and stormwater
mains and manholes identified as "Sewer System Replacement "H', Work Order#UP 3206 in
various locations in north Everett WA, and consisting of approximately 4,200 linear feet of
pipelines. Refer to the attached Vicinity Map. This project is separated into four areas:
Northwest: A three-block section located in the alley between Hoyt and Rucker Avenues
and extending from 200 to 23rd Streets. Existing 10-inch and 6-inch collection sewers are
in poor condition. Approximately 1,270 LF of replacement sewer mains would be 8-inch
minimum diameter.
Southwest: A one-block reach located in the alley between Grand Avenue and W.
Marine View Drive and extending from 260 to Everett Avenue. Existing 6-inch
collection sewers are in poor condition. Approximately 380 LF of replacement sewer
main would be 8-inch minimum diameter.
Southeast: A three-block section located in the alley between State Street and Highland
Avenue and extending from 23`d to 26th Streets. Existing I2-inch sewers are in poor
condition. Approximately 1,410 LF of replacement sewer mains would be 12-inch
minimum diameter.
Northeast: Approximately 1,140 LF of existing 24-inch diameter concrete interceptor
main is in the vicinity of Henry M. Jackson Park. Forecasted conveyance capacity
requires that this segment of main be replaced with a 30-inch diameter pipe. This section
begins at the intersection of 180 Street and the alley between Chestnut and State Streets
and extends north across the park, turns east and extends within an easement until
reaching East Marine View Drive.
The intended project design is for all four areas to be bid and built simultaneously in a single
construction contract. However, it is possible that the Northeast area(large-diameter interceptor
main extending through Henry M. Jackson Park) could be constructed in conjunction with an
adjacent upcoming street improvement project on East Marine View Drive in which case that area
would be separated from the Sewer H project documents. In general, the project objectives are as
follows:
Collection Sewer System Replacements in the NW, SW and SE Areas are located in
alleyways in several separate areas in north Everett. The work comprises approximately
3,060 linear feet of 8-inch to I5-inch diameter collection sewer mains. Surface
restoration in alleys will consist of full-width asphalt paving designed for drainage,
access and maintenance. It is intended that this project will be designed and constructed
in 2006 and will utilize open-cut construction methods. All sewer replacement work is
anticipated to be within public right-of-way.
• : 11
Sewer System Replacement"H" Dec 16,2005
Amendment 3, Scope of Services Page 2 550502(UP3206)
