City will take the lead in securing right-of-entry and easement issues associated with sewers or <br /> construction access onto private property. <br /> 6. Preliminary drawings and specifications will be prepared at approximately 30% progress and will be <br /> submitted to the City for review. City review period for the 30%submittal is 3 weeks. <br /> 7. Detailed technical review of the documents at 60% and 90% progress with verbal or written <br /> comments. City review period for 60%and 90% submittals is 3 weeks each. <br /> S. Schedule and conduct a 60% review meeting/walkthrough attended by various City Departments for <br /> each Schedule. <br /> 9. Provide electronic files, and periodic updates, of text, forms, schedules and other components of the <br /> project manual. <br /> Assumptions: <br /> 1. The Contractor will not provide hydraulic modeling for estimating tributary flows into the combined <br /> sewer network. The Contractor will provide standard calculations of the flow carrying capacity of <br /> each reach of the existing and proposed combined sewer mains. <br /> 2. Designs for restoration of reinforced concrete street pavement slab sections are not included in this <br /> task scope. Scope and budget will be established through Task 10 if encountered in the project areas. <br /> 3. There are no design or construction issues associated with contaminated soils. <br /> 4. It is possible that some pipe replacement may be done by trenchless methods such as pipebursting and <br /> the Contractor will provide designs and specifications accordingly. <br /> Task 5— Cost Estimates <br /> This task includes development of construction cost estimates that will be used to establish the contract <br /> time period and budget funds. <br /> Contractor Responsibilities: <br /> 1. Prepare estimates (Engineers opinion) of the construction cost at each submittal milestone (30%, <br /> 60%, 90% and 100%). The 90%and final (100%) Engineers Estimate will be formatted to reflect the <br /> corresponding bid items in the bid schedule of the Bidding/Contract Documents. <br /> Assumptions, City Responsibilities: <br /> 1. If available, the City will provide itemized bid tabulations of recent project construction bids for <br /> general reference and use for developing a cost database. <br /> Work Products: <br /> 1.
