The grant included a requirement that the City use grant monies to pay for a dedicated full-time advocate to provide outreach into the immigrant community. To satisfy this requirement, the City and the Snohomish County Center for Battered Women ("CBW") entered into an Agreement wherein CBW would hire the advocate and would be reimbursed by the City in monthly amounts of$3004.16 during the grant period, with a maximum contract amount of $72,100. Subsequent to the Agreement, the federal grant project period was extended to December 31, 2005. This Amendment would extend the completion date for services under the Agreement from August 31, 2005 to December 31, 2005 to correspond with the grant expiration date and allow for payment of$3004.16 per month to CBW for three additional months. These three additional payments are reimbursable from grant monies. RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): Authorize the Mayor to sign an Amendment to the Professional Services Agreement with the Snohomish County Center for Battered Women to extend the completion date for services under the Agreement from August 31, 2005 to December 31, 2005. 16
