elliP <br /> 6 , -, , ;-:1.-17 <br /> Itsiday . <br /> AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT BETWEEN <br /> THE CITY OF EVERETT <br /> AND <br /> THE SNOHOMISH COUNTY CENTER FOR BATTERED WOMEN <br /> The City and the Snohomish County Center for Battered Women("CBW")agree to amend and <br /> modify their professional services agreement dated August 19, 2004 (the "Agreement")as <br /> follows: <br /> WHEREAS, CBW and the City entered into an Agreement dated August 19, 2004 for the City to <br /> engage CBW to provide one dedicated full-time advocate for confidential outreach to immigrant <br /> women and legal advocacy services to victims of domestic violence; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Agreement was funded by a grant that the City obtained from the Department of <br /> Justice, Violence Against Women Grants Office ("domestic violence grant"); and <br /> WHEREAS,the domestic violence grant was scheduled to end on August 31, 2005,and, as such, <br /> the Agreement set forth the time of completion of performance as August 31, 2005; and <br /> WHEREAS, subsequent to the Agreement the domestic violence grant end date was extended to <br /> December 31, 2005; and <br /> WHEREAS, this Amendment would extend the Agreement to the same end date as the domestic <br /> violence grant,to-wit: December 31, 2005; <br /> NOW THEREFORE, the City of Everett and CBW agree to amend and modify the previously <br /> amended Agreement as follows: <br /> 1. Paragraph 3 is modified to read as follows: <br /> This Agreement shall commence as of the date of execution of this Agreement <br /> and shall be completed by December 31, 2005. <br /> 2.
