Effective January 1, 2006, state law lowered the
allowable number of packages of a product containing precursor drugs that can be sold in a single transaction
or purchased within a 24-hour period from three packages to two. This proposed ordinance brings the city
criminal code into conformance with state law.
RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): Adopt an Ordinance relating to Restrictions
on Precursor Drugs, Amending Section 1 of Ordinance No. 2541-01, as amended by Section 1 of Ordinance
No. 2788-04 (EMC 10.39.010).
•
14
