The attached Request for Qualifications has been prepared to find qualified consultants to prepare the preliminary engineering, environmental review, design, PS&E, right-of-way, and to possibly provide the construction engineering services. The proposed improvements includes widening of 41 Sl Street and the Broadway Connector to accommodate and optimize the effectiveness of the new 1-5 /41St street freeway interchange, and improvements to Broadway. The project is anticipated to include rechannelization, increasing capacity, improving intersection radii, increasing left-turn storage, traffic signal improvements, new traffic signals, illumination, retaining walls, landscaping, sidewalks and bicycle/pedestrian trail improvements. RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): Authorize to advertise a Request for Qualifications for the 4151 Street/Broadway Local Arterial Improvement Project. 4 RFO FOR 41ST BROADWAY DOC
