February 15, 2017 <br /> Jackie Minchew, Everett, spoke about fossil fuels and the end of <br /> environmental growth. <br /> Wendy McClure, City Office of Neighborhoods, welcomed members of the <br /> Diversity Advisory Board, and Ed Glazer read a letter from the Board to <br /> the Mayor and City Council thanking them for being a welcoming and <br /> inclusive community. <br /> Liz Vogeli, Everett, spoke about two groups she created, Everett in <br /> Solidarity with Immigrants and Refugees and Kind2BKind. <br /> Mark Ford, Seattle, spoke about his opposition to the proposed changes <br /> to the For-Hire Ordinance and Uber. <br /> COUNCIL BRIEFING AGENDA: <br /> Fire Alarm Retro Update <br /> Presented by Fire Chief Eric Hicks <br /> Council Member Murphy questioned why some of the apartment <br /> complexes have asked for exceptions reviews and a timeframe for those <br /> reviews. <br /> Chief Hicks stated the building department needs to perform inspections <br /> to determine if certain complexes qualify for those exceptions, and he will <br /> report back to Council. <br /> CONSENT ITEMS: <br /> Moved by Council Member Bader, seconded by Council Member <br /> Franklin, to approve the following consent items: <br /> RESOLUTION - CLAIMS <br /> To adopt Resolution No. 7080 acknowledging the payment of audited <br /> and approved claims against the City of Everett in the amount of <br /> 60 <br />
