February 15, 2017 <br /> League of Cities, Human Development Federal Advocacy Committee, <br /> where they will discuss congressional city work in March, which will focus <br /> on gun violence, immigration reform, homelessness, and opioid addiction. <br /> She stated she attended the Everett Police Awards earlier today. She also <br /> announced a community engagement event to be held on March 4, at <br /> Evergreen Middle School from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., hosted by the City Office <br /> of Neighborhoods. <br /> President Tuohy announced that agenda item number seven has been <br /> pulled from the agenda and moved to the February 22 agenda. She also <br /> commented on her attendance at the Everett Police Awards. She stated <br /> the For-Hire ordinance that was sent back to the Public Safety <br /> Subcommittee at the February 8 Council Meeting and placed on the <br /> March 8 Public Safety Subcommittee meeting agenda. President Tuohy <br /> stated she is working on the scheduling of the 2017 Council Retreat and <br /> asked each councilmember to identify two or three topics for discussion. <br /> ADMINISTRATION UPDATE ON PRIOR BUSINESS <br /> Debra Bryant, Administration, provided an update on the Service Center <br /> Redevelopment Project. She stated staff will be coming to Council to <br /> request a structural engineer be retained to investigate reinforcement <br /> options for the existing building. <br /> She also invited Paul Kaftanski, Administration, to provide a Transit <br /> update. <br /> CITY ATTORNEY <br /> City Attorney Iles had no comments. <br /> CITIZEN COMMENTS <br /> J.T.
