MARKET
ANALYSIS
Company representatives expressed
varying levels of interest in purchasing season
tickets. If a minor league hockey franchise were
to become an anchor tenant of the building, there
was general consensus that a single game ticket
should cost between $7-$l3. In general,
respondents expressed that a reasonable range
for season tickets would be $200 to $300 per
season. The majority of the respondents
expressed some interest in an option that would
allow them to purchase a season ticket that could
be used for all events at the arena, at a premium.
Several respondents expressed interest
in hockey tickets, only Most of the businesses
interested in tickets for the proposed arena
currently purchase season tickets to Everett
Aquasox games. These respondents expressed
that many people purchase Aquasox tickets
because of the sense of community that the
games created and hoped a new hockey team in a
new arena facility would have a similar affect.
A small number of company
representatives that maintained a significant
Seattle presence showed limited interest in the
arena. Several of those businesses had corporate
season tickets for the professional sports teams
in Seattle. Therefore there was not significant
interest in season ticket packages for events in
Everett. However, a number of companies that
have a presence in Everett did demonstrate a
level of interest. These particular companies
would be willing to purchase season tickets if
there was a demand from Everett employees.
Additionally and without being
prompted, several of the business representatives
that were interviewed inquired about the
proposed facility's ability to accommodate
conference/meeting activities. The majority of
the respondents expressed a significant need for
function facilities because there is a severe
shortage of these types of facilities in the Everett
market. The companies would be very willing to
pay for and use function spaces within the
proposed arena facility. Additionally, these
companies expressed excitement about the
possibility of renting function space in
downtown Everett.
The telephone survey generally found
strong support among local busihesses for the
development of a new arena in downtown
Everett.
