/74/Sfml <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 4980 <br /> A RESOLUTION of the City Council of the City of Everett, setting a public hearing <br /> before the City Council on the 4th day of December, 2000, at 8:30 a.m., to consider the <br /> proposed 2001 activities, budget and assessment for the Downtown Everett Business <br /> Improvement Area (BIA) and to provide notice of the hearing and budget be sent to <br /> property owners in the BIA. <br /> WHEREAS,the City of Everett is in receipt of the Advisory Board's proposed budget for <br /> calendar year 2001 for the Downtown Everett Business Improvement Area(BIA); and <br /> WHEREAS,the City Council wishes to set a time for public hearing thereon. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> EVERETT <br /> Section 1: That the City Council shall hold a hearing on the 4th day of December, 2000, at <br /> 8:30 AM, in the Everett City Council Chambers, to consider the proposed 2001 activities, budget <br /> and assessment, attached and hereby made a part of this resolution as Attachments A and B. <br /> Section 2: The City Clerk shall provide for publishing this resolution as may be provided by <br /> law, and further,that a notice of the hearing and a copy of this resolution shall be mailed to the <br /> owners or reputed owners of real property and buildings located within the proposed BIA area <br /> whose names appear as the owners of such property on the records of the City Treasurer, or if no <br /> address appears there, on the tax rolls of the Snohomish County Assessor, and at the addresses <br /> for such owners as shown on such tax rolls, such mailing to be made prior to the hearing as may <br /> be required by law. <br /> Section 3: The City of Everett would levy a special annual assessment at the rates set forth in <br /> Attachments A and B, for the purpose of operating a security and pedestrian environment <br /> maintenance program in 2001. <br /> Section 4: This resolution does not constitute adoption or approval of the proposed 2001 BIA <br /> Budget, and the City Council, after the public hearing on December 4, 2000 (or at conclusion of <br /> any continuance thereof) may approve an annual BIA budget different from the proposed 2001 <br /> annual BIA budget attached and made a part of this resolution. <br /> Councilperson Introd cing Resolution <br /> PASSED and APPROVED this 22nWay of pvem•er , 21' <br /> ouncil resident <br />
