RESOLUTION NO. 4973 <br /> A Resolution Denying the Application of Don Avery to Amend the Land Use Map <br /> of the Everett Comprehensive Plan on the 1.1 Acre Parcel located at the <br /> northwest corner of Madison at Berkshire Drive from 1.3 (Single Family <br /> Detached, 10-12 dwellings per gross acre) to 1.6 (Multiple Family, 20 — 29 <br /> dwellings per gross acre) and to rezone the property from R-2 (Single Family <br /> Medium Density) to R-3 (Multiple Family Medium Density) <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Everett adopted a new Comprehensive Plan in August, <br /> 1994, in conformance with the Washington State Growth Management Act; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Growth Management Act, codified as RCW Chapter 36.70A, <br /> generally allows for comprehensive plans to be amended on an annual basis; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, an environmental analysis of the proposed Comprehensive Plan <br /> amendments have been conducted by the City; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a Public Workshop on March 7, <br /> 2000, to consider the proposed Plan amendment and rezone and to take public <br /> testimony; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a Public Hearing on April 4, 2000, to <br /> consider the application and make a recommendation to the City Council; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council help a Public Hearing to consider the <br /> recommendation of the Planning Commission for the subject application; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds as follows: <br /> 1. Don Avery proposes to amend the land use map of the Everett <br /> Comprehensive Plan and rezone the 1.1 acre parcel located at the northwest <br /> corner of Madison at Berkshire Drive from 1.3 (Single Family Detached, 10-12 <br /> dwellings per gross acre) to 1.6 (Multiple Family, 20 — 29 dwellings per gross <br /> acre) and to rezone the property from R-2 (Single Family Medium Density) to R-3 <br /> (Multiple Family Medium Density). <br />
