. • RESOLUTION NO. 4971 E!/E?ETT A RESOLUTION providing for the allocation and distribution of Hotel/Motel Tax Funds for the year 2001. WHEREAS, the City of Everett has imposed and collects annually a tax on Hotel and Motel accommodations; and WHEREAS, the Revised Code of the State of Washington provides guidance and direction as to the use of these funds to promote tourism through community attractions and entertainment events; and WHEREAS, the Lodging Tax Advisory Committee reviewed proposed uses of funds and accepted the proposed uses of the Hotel/Motel tax receipts set forth below; and WHEREAS, the Everett City Council's Finance Committee has been charged with recommending to the full Council the use of Hotel/Motel Tax Funds, and recommends, among others, the three proposed uses set forth below; NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Everett that the following distribution of Hotel/Motel Tax Funds be made in concert with the 2001 Budget of the City of Everett, and the Mayor is authorized to negotiate and execute a multi-year contract with Salty Sea Days Association relating to and establishing the terms of this grant.
