NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> EVERETT AS FOLLOWS: <br /> Section 1: <br /> 1. That the City Council of the City of Everett authorize Mayor Edward D. Hansen to make <br /> formal application to IAC for funding assistance. <br /> 2. That any fund assistance received is used for the planning and development of pedestrian <br /> and public access. <br /> 3. That the City of Everett Parks and Recreation anticipates its share of the project funding <br /> will be derived from general funding. <br /> 4. That the City of Everett Parks and Recreation Department acknowledges that they must <br /> support all non-cash commitments to the local share should they not materialize. <br /> 5. That the City of Everett Parks and Recreation Department acknowledges that any property <br /> acquired or facility developed with IAC financial aid must be placed in use as an outdoor <br /> recreation facility or habitat conservation area. <br /> 6. That the City of Everett Parks and Recreation Department acknowledges that the property <br /> be retained in such use in perpetuity, unless otherwise provided and agreed to by City of <br /> Everett Parks and Recreation, IAC, and any affected State or Federal agency. <br /> Section 2: City Council further acknowledges: <br /> 1. That this resolution become a part of the formal application to the State Interagency for <br /> Outdoor Recreation(IAC); <br /> 2. That the City of Everett Parks and Recreation Department provided appropriate opportunity <br /> for public comment on this application; <br /> 3. That the Council supports the City's pursuit of grant funding to help build the proposed <br /> bicycle and pedestrian bridge across the Snohomish River to Langus Riverfront Park; <br /> 4.
