NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVERETT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: 1. That the City Council of the City of Everett authorize Mayor Edward D. Hansen to make formal application to IAC for funding assistance. 2. That any fund assistance received is used for the planning and development of pedestrian and public access. 3. That the City of Everett Parks and Recreation anticipates its share of the project funding will be derived from general funding. 4. That the City of Everett Parks and Recreation Department acknowledges that they must support all non-cash commitments to the local share should they not materialize. 5. That the City of Everett Parks and Recreation Department acknowledges that any property acquired or facility developed with IAC financial aid must be placed in use as an outdoor recreation facility or habitat conservation area. 6. That the City of Everett Parks and Recreation Department acknowledges that the property be retained in such use in perpetuity, unless otherwise provided and agreed to by City of Everett Parks and Recreation, IAC, and any affected State or Federal agency. Section 2: City Council further acknowledges: 1. That this resolution become a part of the formal application to the State Interagency for Outdoor Recreation(IAC); 2. That the City of Everett Parks and Recreation Department provided appropriate opportunity for public comment on this application; 3. That the Council supports the City's pursuit of grant funding to help build the proposed bicycle and pedestrian bridge across the Snohomish River to Langus Riverfront Park; 4.
