A <br /> public hearing was held on December 5, 2005. The hearing was opened to receive any public comments and <br /> was continued to December 21, 2005. No comments were received at the December 5th hearing. The second <br /> public hearing was held on December 21, 2005. There were no objections to proposed vacation. <br /> The proposed vacation will accommodate a new replacement hospital facility to be constructed as phase 4 of <br /> the Providence Everett Medical Center Master Plan. <br /> Council directed staff to prepare the vacation ordinance subject to the retainage of easements for utilities, <br /> which easements will automatically terminate upon the removal and relocation of all utilities by the <br /> petitioner within said right of ways, and compensation by the petitioner to the City of Everett for the right of <br /> ways being vacated as follows: (1)Conveyance of property located between Colby and Hoyt Avenues lying <br /> north of 13th Street(see attached map) and (2)payment of$660,000.00. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(Exact action requested of Council): <br /> Adopt proposed Ordinance vacating that portion of Rockefeller Ave and the alley lying east of Rockefeller <br /> Ave between 13th and 14th Streets. <br /> 64 <br />
