7 <br /> Intergovernmental Agreement No. F05-31103-063 <br /> INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT <br /> BETWEEN <br /> DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY, TRADE AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT <br /> AND <br /> EVERETT POLICE DEPARTMENT <br /> 1.0 PARTIES TO THE AGREEMENT <br /> This Agreement is made and entered into by and between the Department of Community, <br /> Trade and Economic Development, hereinafter referred to as"CTED" and the Everett Police <br /> Department hereinafter referred to as CONTRACTOR <br /> WHEREAS, the DEPARTMENT has been provided funds by the United States Department of <br /> Justice, Office on Violence Against Women under authority of Title IV of the Violent Crime <br /> Control and Law Enforcement Act of 1994,Public Law Number 103-322, 108 Stat. 1796 <br /> (September 13, 1994), as reauthorized under the Victims of Trafficking and Violence Protection <br /> Act of 2000(H.R. 3244); and <br /> WHEREAS these funds have been provided to CTED to improve the criminal justice and <br /> community response to violence against women in Washington State; and <br /> WHEREAS, CTED has selected CONTRACTOR to receive funds by formula through an <br /> Application for Funds process distributed statewide to all eligible organizations; and <br /> WHEREAS, CONTRACTOR shall use the funds to undertake a project which furthers the goals <br /> and objectives of the grants program in accordance with the program guidelines. <br /> THEREFORE, both parties mutually agree to the following: • <br /> 2.0 PURPOSE <br /> Over the course of this Agreement, CONTRACTOR shall accomplish the services/activities <br /> described in the Statement of Work (Attachment A), which is incorporated into this Agreement <br /> by reference. <br /> Allowable activities under the scope of services shall be limited to the eleven program purpose <br /> areas described in the Office on Violence Against Women's STOP Violence Against Women <br /> Formula Grant Program, Fiscal Year 2005 Solicitation under the Program Scope, Statutory <br /> Purpose Areas Section. As required by federal guidelines, the funds will be used for one or more <br /> of the program purposes. <br /> CON TRACTOR shall provide and supervise adequate staff to accomplish the activities of this <br /> Agreement. <br /> 29 <br />
