PARTIES This Interlocal Agreement ("AGREEMENT") is entered into by Snohomish County, a home rule charter county and a political subdivision of the State of Washington ("COUNTY"), and the City of Everett, a municipal corporation of the State of Washington ("CITY"), pursuant to the Interlocal Cooperation Act, codified at Chapter 39.34 RCW. 2. PURPOSE The purpose of this AGREEMENT is to facilitate the collection and accessibility of Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) airborne imagery to be acquired by the COUNTY, and to provide this new imagery and related dataset to the CITY for a variety of planning and engineering functions. 2.1 Between 2000 and 2005, the Puget Sound LiDAR Consortium (PSLC) project collected LiDAR imagery within Snohomish County. This data is stored and shared in a variety of electronic formats. 2:2 The COUNTY has entered into an agreement with a third party to acquire additional LiDAR imagery and dataset of an area within Snohomish County. See Exhibit A. The newly acquired imagery and related dataset will be integrated with the existing LiDAR imagery and data, and is expected to be available to the COUNTY by September 2006. 2.3 The CITY desires to obtain this new LiDAR imagery and related dataset from the COUNTY for the purpose of its municipal planning and engineering functions. 2.4 The CITY and COUNTY believe it is in the best interest of the citizens of both jurisdictions to obtain LiDAR imagery and related data, and to share said information. 17
