7 EXHIBIT A-3 • <br /> SCOPE OF WORK <br /> D. Easement Support. If requested by City, prepare maximum of two legal descriptions and <br /> parcel sketches to aid in the acquisition of easements for temporary construction access <br /> and/or staging. <br /> Task 5. Initial Geotechnical Investigation <br /> This task covers work by both ZZA and BSE to prepare a preliminary geotechnical and design <br /> analysis based on the proposed Phase 6 I-IDD project. ZZA will review the existing data <br /> presented in the ZZA Geotechnical Report for Phase 6 dated October 11, 2004 relative to the <br /> proposed Phase 6 HDD project. This will include sections of new elevated pipeline at the east <br /> and west ends of the project, and a potential section of buried pipe at the east end of the <br /> alignment. Estimate the appropriate geotechnical design parameters based on an evaluation of <br /> the existing data. No field exploration work is proposed in this task. Bennett Staheli Engineers <br /> will prepare a HDD Basis of Design Report covering specific design issues of the HDD elements <br /> of the project. Responsibilities for the various engineering tasks between the two subconsultants <br /> are identified below. Topics to address include: <br /> A. Coordinate and provide support to Bennett Staheli Engineers on existing geotechnical data <br /> and information that pertains to the HDD portion of the alignment. (ZZA & BSE) <br /> B. Evaluate geotechnical issues relative to new elevated pipeline sections located at both the <br /> east and west end of the project. (ZZA) <br /> C. Evaluate geotechnical issues relative to a buried pipeline section located at the east end of <br /> the project. (ZZA) <br /> D. Prepare a geotechnical design memorandum summarizing the results of initial geotechnical <br /> work covered in Paragraphs A through C and F herein. (77A) <br /> E. Review and confirm adequacy of existing geotechnical data and information as it pertains <br /> to the HDD portion of the project. (BSE) <br /> F. Prepare geotechnical profiles for both Pipelines No. 2 and 3 based on existing geotechnical <br /> information. Show boring location and groundwater table. (ZZA) <br /> G. HDD Basis of Design Report. Evaluate HDD design criteria and parameters including pipe <br /> materials, HDD entry and exit locations, pipe alignment and bore geometry, HDD staging <br /> area and construction requirements, geotechnical conditions, potential for wetland <br /> contamination, HDD construction costs and schedule constraints.
