EXHIBIT A-3 SCOPE OF WORK Task 4. Surveying and Mapping Provide surveying and preparation of base maps for temporary staging and/or permanent easement area located outside the limits of the previously surveyed area for the Phase 6 project. The areas to be surveyed and mapped will include the following: • East end of the Phase 6 project immediately south of the south boundary of the City's existing 100 ft easement near Home Acres Road. The area may extend up to 2 acres in size. The surveying and mapping work will include the following: A. Horizontal and Vertical Control. Provide horizontal and vertical control for Phase 6 survey work including meeting with City Surveyor prior to beginning work to discuss survey control and obtain City field books. Prepare control survey worksheet. Use City of Everett project control for establishing both vertical and horizontal datum. The vertical datum will be City of Everett NAVD 88 and based on existing benchmark monuments. Project coordinates will be assumed 10,000 / 10,000 assigned to one point in the project and the basis of bearings will be the City of Everett WSPCS North Zone, NAD 83/91. These points and the entire project will be referenced by conversion table to the City of Everett WSPCS North Zone, NAD 83/91 referenced to at least two(2) of the nearest available City geodetic control monuments as directed in the City's "Surveying and CAD Standards" unless provided otherwise by the City staff. B. Supplemental Ground Field Surveying. Conduct supplemental topographic/location surveys within the temporary construction staging area. Ground surveys for Phase 6 will be limited to the proposed temporary staging area. The survey work will locate visible above ground features such as: roadways, fences, driveways, ditches, utilities including inverts, and significant trees (as defined by Snohomish County). Locate wetland flags, and ordinary high water marks. This work will also include: • Conduct utility research. (Note: the City is to provide research documents and locate services for any City owned utilities, which primarily involves the water transmission pipelines and appurtenances). • Analyze City provided Title Reports, calculate approximate (+/- 2 ft) property boundaries and easements (maximum of two parcels for Phase 6). C. Engineering Base Map. Merge existing aerial mapping (completed previously by Perteet Engineering) with ground survey data and prepare engineering base map to City standards in AutoCAD 2000 to produce a 1' contour interval topographic base map of the temporary construction staging area.
