The <br /> puropse of the investigation was to determine the nature of the <br /> subsurface soils and provide geotechnical engineering <br /> recommendations for design of foundations for the proposed <br /> structure. <br /> A site plan prepared by Osborn & Sons was used as a reference <br /> for our investig. ion. Approximate locations of the exploratory <br /> testpits within the site are shown on Figure 1 . <br /> It is understood that the proposed residence structure will be a <br /> two-story wood-frame structure with daylight basement with slab- <br /> on-grade. Plan dimensions of the structure will be about 26 by <br /> 48 feet. Bearing wall loads are expected to be on the order of <br /> 1 .0 klf. If actual structural loads exceed the above values by <br /> more than 25�, this office should be notified. <br />
