' ' c" "
SCOPE OS WORK
Our geotechnical investigation included observations of
subsurface explorations, engineering evaluations and
preparation of this report. The scope of work included the
following specific tasks:
o Continuously logqed the subsurface conditions, as
encountered in the testpits at the time of excavation.
Logs oz the testpits are presented on the summary sheets of
Appendix A.
o Performed engineering evaluations and analyses and
developed appropriate recommendations for foundations
systems, temporary excavations, and retaining walls.
o Prepared this geotechnical investigation report summarizing
our findings an, recommendations for site development.
EXISTING SIT& CONDITIONS
The proposed development is located at 233 Pec;:s Drive in
Everett, Washington. The site is situated along the northeast
side of Pecks Drive adjacent to a moderate height slope which
drops down to the northeast . At the time of our field
investigation, the site was already graded for the proposed
building pad. A vertical cut slope ran parallel to the street
along a line about 20 feet into the lot from the curb. The
existing graded pad was nearly level, with a ramped access at
the southwest corner.
Spoil material from the pad grading appeared to have been pushed
out over the slope, spilling down through young (3 to 4 inch
diameter) alder trees. The slope was measured to be about 20
feet in height and sloped at an angle of about 40 degrees.
Surface soils near the top of the slope were soft and wet.
