These comments address building issues only. Additional <br />revisions or additions may be required by other departments (such as Utilities, <br />Planning or Fire). All references refer to the 1997 Uniform Building Code, as <br />amended by the State of Washington and/or Washington State Energy Code 1997 <br />Edition, unless stated otherwise. <br />In order for the processing of your application to continue, it will be necessary to <br />provide the Building Division with two complete new sets of drawings reflecting <br />the corrections requested. <br />1. Upgrade all code references to 1997 UBC. <br />2. All appliances located in the garage that are in the normal path of a vehicle are <br />required to be protected from impact. <br />3. Provide cross section of covered porch, show required fireblocking, trusses or <br />stick frame. <br />4. Show footings for porch on foundation plan. <br />5. Provide beam size at ends of porch for hip roof. <br />6. The design values for wood were lowered in the 1997 UBC. A H.F.k2 FJ will <br />not span 12'-7" as indicated on the plan set. (12'-0" max. span per UBC table <br />N23-IV-J-1). <br />7. Provide safety glass in required hazardous locations per section 2406 UBC.
