Fol!owing expiorations, we vere provided e•rilh an updated
alan of the development; lhis was prepared by ARC Architects. Tne plan indiczted that a buildinr,
i; proposed on lhe soulhwestem corner of ihe devlopment slle and on the eastem sde of lhe sile.
The vestern porlion of the soulhvestern building will have a finish (loor grade oF elevation 98 teet,
:vhile the eastern portion will be at elevation 94 feet. The eastem building will also have finish floor
grade of elevation 94 feet. These tinish Ooor grades vill generally be near or just above the
existing ground level.
If lhe scope of the project changes from what we have described above. ve should be provided
.vith revised plans in order to determine if modificatios to lhe rocommer.dalions and corclusions o!
this report are warranted.
SITE CONDITIONS
SURFACE
The Vicinity Niap, Plcte 1, illustrates the general location of the site in the northem portion of
Everett. The site that will be developed is on the southem side of an existing Army Reserve
Facility, located at the corner o( Rainier Avenue and 11th Street. 7his development area is
currently mostly covered with hvo parking lots. Our exploralion program vas based on iha proposed
construction, anlicipated subsurface conditions and those encountered during exploration, and the
scope f vork outlined in our proposal.
The tesl borings were drilled on May 3, 2012 using a lraiter•mounted, hollor:-stem auger dnll.
Samples were taken at 2.5 to 5-foot intervals wilh a sl2ndard penetration samplec This split-spoon
sampler, evhich has a 2-inch oulside diameter, is driien into the soil wilh a 140-pound hamrner
falling 30 inches. The number of blovs required lo dvance ihe sampler a given dislance is an
indication o( the soil deosity or consrtency.
