These co:,unents address building issues only. Additional revisions or additions may be required by other departments (such as Utilities, Planning or Fire). All references refer to the 1997 Uniform Building Code, as amended by the State of Washington and/or Washington State Energy Code 1997 Edition, unless stated otherwise. In order for the processiug of your application to continue, it will be necessary to provide the Building Division with two complete new sets of drawings reflecting the corrections requested. NONSTRUCTURAL General 1. Class I standpipes should be shown within the stair enclosures. Section 904.5 2. It should be shown on the plans that a listed smoke detector be placed near the elevator entrance that upon activation will prohibit the elevator from opening and shall return it to the main floor. Section 3003.2 3. The inrerior clear dimensions of the elevator cab should be designed to the stretcher provisions in Section 3003.5 (for four story buildings).
