CITY OF EVERETT <br /> Ccrtificate of Appropriateness <br /> To Rc-construct,Altcr, Reslorc, Remodcl, Repair, or Move a House Located at <br /> 1306 Oakes Avenue ���ithin Block 248 of the Donovan District <br /> WHEREAS, thc City of Evcrett lias a desire to work with Providence Everett Medical <br /> Ccntcr(PEMC) and thc communiry in thc provision of hcalthcare; and <br /> WNEREAS, PEMC rcquestcd appro��al of a Ccrtificate of Appropriateness to movc some <br /> or all of the Donovan District houscs own�d b�� PEMC off Block 248 to allo�v for <br /> �105�118I CX�10510I7; and <br /> ���HEREAS, the G��crett llistorical Conunission hcld n public hearing on March 9, 2005; <br /> and <br /> �'VHEIZEAS, the Evcrett ]Iistorical Commission developed findings, conclusions, and <br /> rccommendations related to Block 243 of the Donovan District; and <br /> �1rHER�AS, thc 6��erclt liistorical Conunission strongly cncouraged moving houses off <br /> sile over demoliticn; and <br /> \VHERGAS, the Evcrctt Historical Commission recommendcd approval of a Waiver of <br /> Ccrtificate of Appropriateness to move or retain 75%or morc of U�e houses in Block 248, <br /> �vith Uic follo�ving conditions: <br /> (a) PEMC shall be requircd to comply���ith the recommendations, conditions and <br /> standards detailed in Planning Commission Resolution No. 2005-2 and Exliibits A, B, <br /> and C thcreto, all of whicli arc incoq�oralcd hcrcin Uy refcrence. <br /> (b) PLMC will makc c��cr��cffort tu a��oid clama,c to thc Dono��an houscs bcing <br /> moved off Block 24S. <br /> (c) Thc houscs will bc mu�•cd and relocatcd follo�eing cstablishcd standards for <br /> rclocation oChistoric propertics ���hich presen�c the historic integrity of the structures. <br /> (d) PEI�4C���ill complctc a thorougL• photocraphic documentation of Block 248 and <br /> lhe streetscape of the 1300 biock of Oakes as they no«� esist. <br /> (c) An cxhiUit or display depicting the history and characteristics of the Dono��an <br /> District will Uc included in new de��clopment on Block 245. <br /> (� The Historical Commission encouragcs PEMC to retain the houses on the west <br /> sidc of�hc 1300 block of Oakes; and <br /> �/� <br />
