CITY OF EVERETT (;ertificate of Appropriateness To Re-construct, Alter, Restore, Remodel.Repair, or 114o��c a House Located at 1310 Oakes A��enue�r�ithin Block 248 of the Dono��an District WHEREAS, the City of L��crett has a desire to work�vith Providence �verett Medical Centcr(PEMC) and thc conununity in the provision of healthcare; and NHEREAS, PEMC requested approval of a Certificatc ofAppropriateness to move somc or nll of the Donovan District houses o�vned by PEI�1C off Block 2d8 to allow for hospital expansion; and WHEREAS, lhe Everctt Historical Commission held a public hearing on March 9, 2005; and WHEREAS, the Everett liistorical Commission dcvcloped findings, conclusions, and rccotnmendations relatcd lo Dlock 248 of the Dono��an District; and �VHGRGAS, Ihc L••��erett Historical Conunission strongly encouraged mo��ing houscs off site over dcmoliiion; and A'I{ER[AS, the Lverett Nistorical Commission recommended appro�•al of a VVai��cr of Ccrtificatc of Appropriatcncss to mo��c or rctain 75% or morc of the houses in Block 24S, with the follo�ving conditions: (a) PEMC shall Ue required to comply with the reconuuendations, conditions and standards detailed in Planning Commission Resolution No. 2005-2 and ExhiUits A, B, and C thercto, all of��hich arc incorporatcd licmin by reference. (b) PGMC�vill make cvcry eCfort to avoid damage to the Donovan houses being movcd off Block ?4S. (c) The liouses �vill bc mo��ed and relocated follon�ing eslablished standards for relocation of historic properiics��hich prescrve thc historic integrity of the stn�ctures. (d) PCNfC�vill complete a thorough photographic docw��entation of Block 24S and tlic strcctscapc of thc 1300 Ulock of Oakcs as thcy uow exist. (c) An c�hibit or display dcpicting thc history and cliaracteristics of dic Dono��an District�viil be included in nen� de��elopment on Block 2�I8.
