CITY OF EVERETT Certificate of Appropriateness To Re-construct, Alter, Restore, Remodel, Repair, or Mo��e a House Located at 1322 Oakes Avenue within Block 248 of the Donovan District WHEREAS, the City of Everett has a desire to work with Providence Evcretl Medical Center(PEMC) and the community in tlie provision of hcalthcare; and WHEREAS, PEMC requested approval of a Certificate of Appropriateness to move somc or all of U�c Donovan District houses owncd by PEMC off Block 248 to allo�v for hospital cxpansion; and WHERLAS, the�verett Historical Commission held a public hearing on March 9, 2005; and WHERGAS, the Everett Historical Commission de��eloped findings, conclusions, an,l recommendalious related to Block �48 of the Donovan District; and WHEREAS, lhe E��erett Historical Commission strongly encouraged moving houses off silc ovcr demolition; and \4'HERGAS, lhe L��erett Historical Conunission reconunended approval of a\Vaiver of Ccrtificatc of Appropriatencss to mo��c or rctain 75",% or morc of tlre houscs in Block 245, ��•ith the follo�:�ing conditions: (a) PEMC sBall bc required to comply�vith the recommendstions, conditions and standards dctailcd in Planning Conunission Resolution No. 2005-2 m�d Exhibits A, B, and C thcreto, all of which are incorporated herein by reference. (c) The houses��ill Uc mo��ed and relocated following estaUlished standards for rclocation of historic properties �vhich presen�c tlie historic integrity of the structures. (d) PEMC��ill complete a thorough photographic documenlation of Block 24S and thc strcetscape of the 1300 block of Oakes as they no��' esist. (e) An exhibit or display depicting the history and charactcristics uf tlie Donova�i District will bc included in ne�� development on Block 245.
