CITY OF EVERETT <br /> Certificate of Appropriateness <br /> To Re-construct, Alter, Restore, Remodcl, Repair, or Mo��e a House Located at <br /> 1330 Oakes Avenue«•ithin Block 248 of the Donovan District <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Gverctt has a desire to �vork with Providcnce E��crett \9edical <br /> Centcr(PGMC) and thc conununity in the provision of healthcare; and <br /> WHERGAS, P�MC requcsted approval of a Ccrtificate of Appropriatcness to mo��e somc <br /> or all of the Donoran District houses owned by P�MC off Block 248 to allo�v for <br /> hospital expansion; and <br /> WHERGAS, the Gverett Historical Commission held a public hearing on March 9, 2005; <br /> and <br /> �i'HER�AS, thc Gverett Historical Commission devclopcd findings,conclusions, and <br /> rccommendations rclaled to Block 243 of the Dono�an District; and <br /> \YHERLAS, the f_'vcrett F[isrorical Commission strongly encouraged mo���„b i,o��s�s orr <br /> sitc o��cr demolition; and <br /> \4�HLREAS, tlie Lverett Historical Commission mcommended appro��al of a �V:�i��er of <br /> Ccrtificatc of Appropriatcness to mo��c or retain 75%, or morc of thc houscs in Cilock 2�5, <br /> ���ith thc folio�ving conditions: <br /> (a) PGD4C shall be reyuircd to cemply ���ith thc recummendations, conditions and <br /> standards dctailcd in Planning Commission Resolution No. 2005-2 and Exhibits A, B, <br /> and C ll�crcto, all of���hich are incorporated hercin b}�referencc. <br /> (U) PCI��IC ��'ill mlke evcry effort to a��oid dvnage lo lhe Donovan houses being <br /> mo��ed off Block 24S. <br /> (c) Thc houses will be moved and relocated follo���ing cstaUlished standards for <br /> relocation of hisloric properties which presen•e thc historic integrity of the stnictures. <br /> (d) PGMC will completc a thorough pliotographic documentation of Block 24S and <br /> the streetscape of the 1300 block of Oakes as they now e�ist. <br /> (e) An exhiUit or display depic(ing the history and characteristics of the Dono��an <br /> District ���ill bc includcd in ne�v dcvclopment on Block 245. <br /> (f) Thc Historical Commission encoirraccs PEn4C to retain the liouses on the �vest <br /> sidc of the 1300 block of Oakes; and <br /> 1 '� <br />
