WHEREAS, on March 1 G, 2005, Everett City Council concurred with the <br /> recommendation of the Historical Commission�vith conditions(a)through (e) above; and <br /> iVHEREAS, on July 20, 2005„ Everett City Council approved changes to the <br /> Compreliensive Plan Land Use map and rezones to allo���expansion of PEMC into Block <br /> 248 of thc Donovan District by Ordinance No. 2850-05, which includes Development <br /> Standards and Guidclines; and <br /> WHEREAS, the E��erett Municipal Code states in Section 296AGOC(3)that the decision <br /> conceming the gnnting or denial of a certificate of appropriateness shall be made by the <br /> mayor(or designec) on the advice of the commission according to the standards <br /> cstablished in the commissiott's rules; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Mayor has designated the City's Building O�cial to render the decision <br /> in lhis mattcr; <br /> NOW, THERE['ORE, the Building Official approves a Certificate of Appropriateness to <br /> re-conslruct, alter, restore, remodel, repair, or moac tlic housc located at 1330 Oakes <br /> Avenue, with the following conditions: <br /> (a) PEMC shall be required to comply�vith the recommendations, conditions and <br /> standards detailed in City Cotmcil Ordinance No. 2850-OS and exhibits thereto, all of <br /> which are incorporated hcrein by reference. <br /> (b) PEMC ���ill make e��ery effori to avoid damage to the Dunovan liouses bcing <br /> moved off Block 248. <br /> (c) The houscs will Ue moved and relocated following established standards for <br /> relocation of historic properiics which presen�c thc historic integrity of thc structures. <br /> (d) PLMC will complete a thorough pholographic documentation of Block 2d8 and <br /> thc streetscape of the 1300 Ulock of Oakes as they no���exist. <br /> (e) An c�hibit or display depicting thc history and charactcristics of the Dono��an <br /> District will bc induded in ne�v development on Block 2�45. <br /> (� Treatment of and repairs to tlte houses Ueing moved�aill be consistent �vith the <br /> \'Vashington State Ad��isory Council's Standards for Rehabilitation and Maintenance <br /> ofHistoric Properties. <br /> � v�� <br /> Tim Tyler <br /> City of Everett Building Official <br /> � ��i� �30 los <br /> �I� <br />
