Moser <br /> Subject: Sanitary Survey of the Unsworth Apar[ments, 3012 Oakea, <br /> Everett, Wastdng[on <br /> A sanitary eurvey of theee npartments was amde in [he company of <br /> Mr. L. £rickson, City Guilding Inapector and Patrolman Doug Seavy <br /> of the Everett Police Department. This survey made on Uctober 30th <br /> at approximately 9:45 AM. <br /> We met with George Unsworth,owner of the apartmenta, and inspected <br /> the besement hallaays, atorage area and apartmenCs 1 and 5. This <br /> inspection revealed the following polnts: <br /> 1. Hellways are pooriy lighted and unheated. Walls and ceilinge <br /> are dirty and and in need of refiniahing. Floore though <br /> supposedly clean show evidence of dirt accumulation. Old <br /> refrigeratore, etc. are atored to one side of the hallway. <br /> 2, Bathroom facilities are poorly lighted, unventilated and <br /> no evidence of being heated. There is one toilet on each <br /> floor and one bathtub on the second floor. Theae rooma are <br /> emall and being kept in aeTeretcnebehindytoileCtstoolsth . <br /> accumulation of dirt, pap , <br /> Second floor toilet evidently leaks as evidenced by water <br /> on the floor. There was foul odor here [oo. Floors, walls <br /> and ceilings are in need of refiniahing. <br /> 3, Basement. This area has stacks of wood used for fuel in the <br /> apartments stacked throughout. <br /> 4. Apartment #1. Walls ceilinga are very dirty and in nee88 f <br /> no cookin <br /> refiniahing. Wood stove used for heating, B� <br /> occupant stated he ate with Mr. Unsworth. Ventilation was <br /> by windows which were just cracked open. <br /> � <br />
