A Phase I Environmental Site Assessment of the vacant properry at 3100 Oakes
Avenue was conducted by Clayton Environmental Consultants for Housing Hope.
This assessment has revealed the following evidence of recognized environmental
condition, as defined by ASTM, in connecGon with the property;
♦ Underground storage tanks may be present on the subject property. 1'his is based
on the knowledge that three residendal dwellings were constructed on the subject
property, that early construction in the local area usually consisted of heating oil for
fuel, and that no historical records were discovereci that indicate any tanks were
removed.
Clayton recommends the Ilowing further investigation:
♦ Use caution upon grading or excavating the subject property for development. If
underground tanks aze discovered, remove tanks or abandon in place according to
local Fire Department regulations and observe for potendal contamination. A
geophysical survey could also evaluate the presence or absence of tanks on the
subjectproperty.
