Please submit hvo sets of revised plans and <br /> details with a response letter to each item in this corrections letter. Upon resubmission of the drawings, plan <br /> review will resume and your application wiil be yiven priority. All required submittals must be of sufficient <br /> detail and information to ensure that the proposed structure will be constructed in compliance with all adopted <br /> codes. <br /> Please note that I will be out of the office for two weeks, starting January 31�`. If at all possible, please retum <br /> the revisions to our offices this Tuesday, January 29�' for an expedited review before I leave. <br /> General <br /> � 1. The code analysis requires revisions as noted in comments for'Occupancy', 'Fire Resistance' and <br /> 'Egress'. <br /> Oaupancy <br /> 1. In the code analysis, please identify if fhe original building wa� designed to comply with separated or <br /> non-separated occupancies. IBC sections 508.3 and 508.4 <br /> Fire Resistance <br /> 1. Please include the required/existing automatic detection system in the code analysis, per EMC <br /> 16.76.035. <br /> 2, <br /> ;3. Separated use of occupancies requires a fire-resistance rating between the Everett Clinic and the <br /> V garage, in addition to the tenant demising wall. Please indicate tested assemblies and penetrations on <br /> the drawings, or indicate limits of occupancy types for the adjacent tenant suite. IBC table 508.4 <br /> Egress <br /> 1. The exit travel distance shown on the drawings exceeds the common path of egress travel, which <br /> requires two exits from the tenant suite. IBC section 1014.3 and 1015.1(2). <br /> � 2. Illuminated exit signs should be shown on the drawings to two separate exits. If egress is required <br /> through the intervening space of the garage, exit signs should be shown on the reflected ceiling plan of <br /> the garage to provide a discernible path of egress. IBC sedions 1011.1 and 1014.1 <br /> v3. Emergency lighting should be shown on the reflected ceiling plan of the garage, if this is the path of <br /> egress for the second required exit.
