Facility planning must include, in addition to <br /> space and operational needs, provisions for infection control and safety of the <br /> facility's occupants during any renovation or new conswction. The faciliry's <br /> infection control (ICP), safety, and securiry personnel (S&SP)should be involved <br /> with facility planning, design, construction,and commissioning of any new or <br /> renovated azea.The design professional should incorporate the specific wnstruction- <br /> related requircments of the ICP and S&SP in the contract documents. The contract <br /> documents should require the constructor ro implement these specific requirements <br /> during construction.
