In May of 1983 , there
was a pcoblem cegarding the preliminary plat approval on that
subdivision. I spoke with you about this, and we aP=oeEcts West
one-year extension of the approval. Subsequently, 7
ahandoned the idea of subdivi.ding the parcel into seven lots for f
economic reasons. '
The property in question consists of three lots, two vacant lots
with 100-foot frontage and one lo= with a small house on it which
has 50-foot fcontage. Recently, Projects West applied for building H
permits to construct single-family cesidences on the two vacant y
lots. , ;
oved b all cit departnents, except
The permits have been app_ Y Y roval , Lacr `' S
the engineering sectior.. As a prerequisite of app Y
t*, ,.
Crawford has cequired an extreme amount of street improvements.
His position is that Projects West must overlay the street fconting
the lots plus an additional 50 feet to the west. The oveclay
must be 18 feet wide and three inches thick. Furthermore, a11
-
the shoulders must be graded six feet wide with a graded gravel ' '
base four inches thick. The project engineer for Projects west
informs me that this is grossly vetbuilt for the type of area i.
involved. His point is well taken in view of the fact that a o4;
lessec amount of street impovement was required xn the pteliminacy ne:
plat in which seven resideices were planned.
.;
Furthermcre.
