Additionally we would like to demonstrate the exiting for the
cafeteria prior to application for the tenant improvement in order to expedite review time once
the plans are submitted.
Please see the attached exhibit that deiails the above mentioned areas of the facility.
The following comments pertain to the design intent of the exiting system:
1. Due to the potential occupant load for the common area, I have placed a two-hour
horizontal exit wall around th perimeter of the conference and training area. This wall
essentially creates a separate building when leaving the common area hallway and
entering into the building link to the individual wings of the building.
Z. The majority of rooms located within the common area are meeting/conference rooms
for Solectron employees and limited guests to the facility. Seating in the rooms and
lobhy area will accommodate approximately 103 persons while the occupant load
shown is 212 persons. '
3. Exits to the exterior or through the two hour horizontal exit are within fifty feet of any
room and clearly visible to the occupants that would meet in any room. Proposed exit
signs are shown.
4. I have listed the occupant load for each room at the door and totaled the occupant
load at doors exiting to the eRerior to demonstrate compliance with the code. When
exiting through an adjoining room or space the occupant load shown at the exit
includes the occupant load portion for room or area of said occupants.
t0 L4KESIOE • SUITE 2J0 • SEATTLE.
