(LMA#97-138) ue`:e'
6300 Merrill Creek Parkway s
PLAN CHECK#B57524
Dear Tony:
Thank you for meeting with us to discuss action items from your tenant improvement
comment letter dated January 14, 1998.
I have numbered my responses to coRespond with your original letter.
O¢CUPANCY
y The building will house high pile storage for Commodity Group I-IV, up to 20' high,
as indicated on the attached plans. I h;ave discussed the requirements of U.F.C.
Article 81 with Mr. David Uehaan of the Everett Fire Department and have made
revisions to satisfy the Fire Department in reference to Article 81.
Our intent is to have in place all "built-in" requirements for high pile storage in the
construction of the building and at e later date (deferred submittal) submit the
specific inventory and racking information for review.
To recap the key items discussed with Mr. Detaan:
a. The fire sprinkier system will accommodate the higher density required for
high pile storage.
b. The building will have a fire alarm system.
c. The building will have two (2) additional doors for access into areas
containing high pile storage.
d. Smoke vents will be located as shown on the plans. Quantity is based on a
ratio of 1:100 per U.F.C. Atricle 81 and will be UL/FM approved with fusible
link operation and manual release (inside).
The remainder of the building will have drop-out smoke vents as located on
the plans. Quantity is based on a ration of 1:100 per UBC Section 906.
130 LAKF_SIOE • SIJITE 250 • SEATTLE, WA • BB122 • [2061 39•2663 • FAX: (QOB) 32B•0364
ARCHITECTUFE • PLANNING • 6PACE PLANNING • INTEFIORfi
