The preliminary earthwork that has been
completed at the site includes the construction of a large `building pad." Our personnel
made periodic site visits during construction, observing the stripping of surficial organic
soils and perform:iny densiry tests on compacted filis.
' We were notified of the earthwork on August 15, 1995 and made our first site visit on August
16, 1995. Before our arrival, we were supplied with a preliminary site plan. The plan
indicates a potential building pad site within about 110 feet of the curb lines of the adjacent
streets (Seaway Boulevard to the south and Merrill Creek Parkway to the east). During our .
first visit, when we observed that strip,ng and filling work had begun, we were also shown a
topographic map that indicates the final grading for the site. The map also includes the
locations of numerous numbered stakes. The surveyor used these stakes to provide cut
and fill information for the project. We were subsequently provided with a copy of this map,
and we used the stake numbers to locate our density tests,
Lots 2C ad 2D have approximately 800 feet of shared frontage on their eastern sides along
Merrill Creek Parkway. The widths of these lots are between 720 and 1,046 feet. The
development will spread out along the entire 800 feet of street irontage, but it will only
extend approximately 500 feet west of the eastern property line. Before the earthwork, the
ihe development area's highest point was a knoil with an approximate elevation of 614 feet
on the development area's southwestern side. A low, swale ran through nearly the entire
development area irom the southeast to the northwest, with its lowest point at its north-
---J:?
l

r -- - - s --
