CITY OF EVERE .
pCt:IC WrkS Depi.
R: Scott Welliver
8416 Monte Cristo Drive
Dear Mr. Kromm:
I have ommunicated your offer to fill the erosion
area. Mr. Welliver advises me that he has already re-
planted that area affected by the erosion with grass seed
and it is heing revegetated slowly. In rir. iJelliver's
opinion th re i.s a very good chance at this time that the
root struccure wi11 be sufficient to retain the bank in
that area. Should the Water Department initiate a f.i11
at this time it would, in a11 likelihood, destroy the
grass that is there requiring Pir. Idelliver to replant.
As it is rather late in the year the root structures
would not take hold again, causing further erosion in the
winter time.
g,s
At this point, Mr. idelliver aishes to wait aad see
what occurs in the future. Should further erosion occur in
the winter, then we will be requesting that the Watar
Department take action early next spring. Should the ero-
sion not occur, this will be unnecessary. It should be
pointed out that we are not at this time foregoing any
action we may have against the City should further erosion
occur, but are hopeful that the problem will be resolved
for now.
DWC/dma
cc: Scott jdelliver
Very truly yours,
r
DOPIAI.D iJ.
