614 Morgan Court
Everett, Washington 98203
March 14, 1974
City of Everett
Community Development Department
3002 Wetmore
Everett, Washington 98201
Attention: Mr. Frank Bennett, Director
Gentlemen:
TR H W
NAR *15 1974
CITY OF E VERET T
Community Development Dept.
Our home, 614 Morgan Court, is located on Beverly Lake; the
most easterly house on the north shore. From our home can
be viewed most of the businesses located on Evergreen Way
between the 7200 block and the 7300 block (approximately 150
yards distant). The businesses are Haight -Anderson auto
dealership, Skipper's, Alfy's (under construction), Suzuki
Motorcycle, Earl Meyer Used Cars, and Joe Pignataro Used Cars.
Because of their proximity, the appearance of the aforenoted
business establishments is of importance to us. We have
strong concerns that certain aspects of some of their facili-
ties are unsightly to the point of detracting from the value
and livability of our residential property, and of our neigh-
bors. Moreover, reference to the Everett City Code indicates
that the areas of particular concern are in violation of the
Code.
The purpose of this letter is to call your attention to the
Code violations and to respectfully request immediate action
by your office to remedy them.
1. Lighting
A. Chapter 2, Paragraph 2.52.050 Illumination, provides
that "The light. . . from any light source shall be
so shielded or directed that the light intensity or
brightness shall not adversely affect surrounding
or facing premises. . ." and "Light shall not shine
or reflect on or into residential structures."
