WASNINGTON ti
Over the last several days I have contacted the owners of businesses
on Evergreen Way, near Beverly Lake, that have large outdoor pole
lights. These businesses were Pignataro Chevrolet, Supreme Lease
Purchase, and Everett Imported Cars (formerly Haight -Anderson
building).
Mr. Terran of Supreme Lease does not feel that his lights are bothering
anyone but would be glad to discuss the issue with the complaining
party. He stated that they do not use all their lights and all of them
but two, are turned off at 9:00 P.M. All of his lights appear to be
diverted downward toward the confines of the property.
Mr. Sal Corrilla of Everett Imported Cars explained that his building
is a new one and the lighting system has been designed and adjusted
by an engineer to illuminate their property and no one elses. He
stated that they have a security problem there and will not reduce
their light intensity. Mr. Corrilla also pointed out that if the
complaining party stopped by with a specific complaint that they might
be able to make a slight adjustment of any offending light if it
does not alter their lighting pattern.
Joe Pignataro's lights all point downward and eastward with the
exception of one or two lights at the southwest corner of the lot.
Joe stated that he will review the complaint and adjust his lights if
he feels they are bothering anyone.
The bank behind Alfys and Suzukis has shown an improvement over our
last inspect.io,l. Some vegatation has started to grow on the bank and
the trees at the bottom, near the lake, are now taller. There is one
spot on the slope that is being used by children as a slide and there
is a small amount of cardboard at the bottom of this area.
I recommend that no further action be taken by the
Nicholas has a specific complaint with the lighting
his problem directly to the business involved.
city.
