He informed us that they were ready to start and provided us with a pin <br />pile site plan. We observed the contractor install two-pin pile today. One of the piles was battered at <br />approzimately 15 degrees. The pile locations, depth, and penetradon during the last 20 seconds of <br />driving are shown on the attached site plaa. <br />The pin piles were driven with an 1,100 ft.lb hammer (Teledyne TB 425). 4inch diameter stcel pipes <br />sections up to 21 feet long were used and coupled with slip couplers. The piles were driven until a <br />refusal criteria of up to 1 inch of penetration during 20 seconds of driving was attained. <br />Based on our observations, it is our opinion that the two installed pin piles have been installed in <br />accordance with our recommendations, and should provide the planned 10 tons of support. <br />Attachments: Site Plan <br />Distribution: <br />Signed: <br />� <br />
