Plan Check No.38370
November 5, 1992
Page Two of Three

8. Specify roof slope(s) of all areas on the roof plan. Provide minimum 1/4" per foot roof slope for
drainage or design to support accumulated water.
9. Show size and location of overflow drains or overtlow scuppers/3207(c).
10. Provide details of attic ventilation type, size and location. Show the required net area calculations
assuming approximately 75% of the vent azea is net area unless the actual net azea is given from
the manufacturer. Enclosed rafter spaces formed where ceilings are applied directly to the
underside of roof rafters shall have cross ventilation for each separate space by vendlaUng
openings protected against the entrance of rain and snow. The net free ventilating area sfall be
not less than 1/150 of the area of the space ventilated.
11. Provide detail of guardrail, specify all materials and dimensions, include guardrail at deck and at
stairs.
12. Occupants on floors above the second story, shall have acess to not less than two separate exits
from the floor/3303(a).
13. Provide tempered glass at required hazardous locadons.
14. Detail 2 on sheet A3 shows rigid insulation at perimeter of slab-on-grade in garage, is garage
heated? If garage is heated, the detail shown dces not meet energy code requirements.
15. Provide typical wall section, from foundadon to roof. Show and label all structural components
and insulation level.
16. Provide detail of intermediate supgorts in crawl space.
17. Foundation plan dces not show footings for stairs. Design footings to support 100 pounds per
squaze foot on stairs.
18. Footings at 5-1/8"x21" GLB are not of sufficient size to support load imposed. Provide new
foodng size with rebar requirements indicated.
l9. Masonry walls are required to be insulated to minimum R-19 if insulated on the interior. 2x4
fumng alone will not provide sufficient depth to install R-19 batts without compression, an air
space of not less than 2 inches used in conjuncdon with 2x4's will provide sufficient depth to
install R-19 insuladon, however the stairway along the wall would have to be shifted a
corresponding 2 inches.
20. Show all header sizes en plans.
2l. Total glazing area exceeds 21 % of tloor area. Prescriptive path IV may not be used. Submit new
compliance path or component performance calculations. Drawings shall reflect required
insulation levels. Submit window schedule.
