Apri17, 1969 <br />� The regular meeting of the City of Everett Board oF Adjustment was held at <br />- 7:30 p, m. , April 7, 1969 in the City Hall Council Cha:nbers, City Hall, Everett, <br />Washington. <br />Mr. Cronin presided, Mr. Dickson and Mr. Ingram were precent. Mr. Graff <br />was absent due to illness and Mr. Champion was out of town. <br />The readinK oi the minctes of the Ivlarch 13, 1969 meetin� were not read due to <br />their length and the number of items on the agenda for this month's meeting. <br />It was moved by Mr. Dickson, seconded by Mr. Ingram and unanimously carried <br />to postpone the rendering of a decision on the application of Jerry Smith as <br />there was no representative presenL ' <br />A continuation on the application of Wm. D. Jordan which was postponed from <br />i the March 1969 hearing requesting permission to urilize a tract of laL;i for <br />residential purposes that does not abut a public dedicated street. The square <br />footage requirement for residential purposes meets the minimun required in an <br />R-1, Single Family Lo�v Density Residence Zone. A portion of Lot 4, Maple <br />�ieights. (1314 Mukilteo Blvd. ) ' <br />After hearing testimony by both the opponents and proponents on Mr. Jordan's <br />application it was moved by Mr, Ingram, seconded by Mr. Dickson and unanimously . <br />carried to postpone the rendering of a decision on this request until the May 1969 <br />hearing allowing the members of the Board additional time for study on the effects <br />Yhis apnlication will have on the surrounding area and the remaining porrion of <br />Lot 4, Maple Heights. ' ' ' ' <br />Hearin� held on the application of Providence Hospital requesting a variance to <br />construct a new �ving of 7� ieet in height with an additional 17 feet of elevator <br />shaft w•hich wil! e�ceed the height limitation in an R-3 Multiple Family Low Densit�r <br />Residence Zone. (91b Paciiic) • <br />It was moved by Mr. Dicl-s�n, seconded by Mr. Ingram and unanimously ca rried <br />io grant the requested variance for the following reasons: <br />1. This will have no adverse effect on the surrounding <br />neighborhood. • <br />2, Will not change the funcYion of the hospiul as a public <br />necessity. <br />3. The �rowth of the community warraats the expansion. <br />4. The best usc of thc land. <br />- Hearino held on the application of Ra}mond J. Dotchin requesting permission to <br />� construct a garage to within five (>) feet of the rear properiy line on a portion <br />of Lot 4, Hishland Acres (�801 East Drive).
