�,�y 5, 19b9 <br />The regular meeting of the City of �verett Board of Adjustment was held at <br />7:30 p, m. , May 5, 1qGq, in the City Hall Council� Chambers; City Hall, E��erett, <br />Washington. <br />Mr. Graff presided. Mr. Ingram, Mr. Dickson and Mr. Chamnion were present. <br />Mr. Cronin was absent. <br />The minutes of the April 7, 1969 Board of Adjustrnent meeting were read and <br />a�proved as read. <br />A conrinuance on the application of 1Yilliam D. Jordan, 4432 Seahurst Avenue for <br />a.rariance to utilize a tract of land which does not abut a minimum of 40 feet on <br />a publ ic dedicated street.. The square footage requirement for residential <br />purposes meets the minimum required in an R-1 Single Family Low Density, <br />Residence Zone, A portion of Lot 4, Maple Heights (1314 Mulcilteo Blvd� ) <br />After hearing testimony by both the opponents and proponents on Mr. Jordan's <br />application it tivas moved by Mr. Dickson, seconded by Mr, Ghampion and <br />unanimously carried to postpone the rendering of a decision on this request until <br />the 7une 1q69 hearing aliowing Mr. 7ordan the opportunity to discuss with the <br />Traftic Department and Traffic Engineer the poss<ble traffic hazards and � <br />al7eviation of traffic hazards regarding i.ngress and egress from Mukilteo Blvd. <br />A continuation on the application of Lyle Whitley for perxnission to remodel the <br />rooms under an existing garage on Lot 1 and the North 1/2 of Lot 2, Block 2, '� <br />5� Nicholas Addition (2208 E, Grand), <br />A letter giving the history of the subject property endorsed by the City of Everett <br />Building Inspector, L. T. Erickson, was read into the record. <br />It was moved by Mr, Dickson, seconded by Mr. Ingram and unanimously carried <br />to deny the requested variance for the following reasons: <br />1. The land is being utilized tq its ma�anum potential under <br />the existing zonin�, <br />2. Will be detrimental to the surrounding area, <br />3. Not in conformance �vith the Comprehensive Land Use Plan and <br />Zoning Ordinance No. 3572. <br />A continuation on the application of Jerry Smith to utilize a tract of lanc with only <br />26. 74 feet of fronta;e abuttino a public dedicated street in an R-2, Single Family <br />High Densit�• rZesiderce Zone �vhicn requires a miniunum of fifty (50) feet cf frontage <br />abuttin� a public dedicated street. <br />It was moved by Mr, Dickson, seconded by Mr. Ingram and unanimously carried <br />to denp the requested variance for the following reasons: <br />1, No representation for the past ihree hearings, <br />2. No acceotable plans have been presented io the City { <br />or the Board oi Adjustment. � <br />
